THE CHALLENGE
Chaptr had always recruited using traditional online advertising and relying on their local Southampton network. The search, selection and screening had been carried out in-house by the leadership team.
As Chaptr continued to grow, they struggled to find local candidates and were spending too much time and resource on recruitment. They had been unsuccessful in finding a recruitment partner that they could trust to deliver results without large upfront costs.
Looking for design focused Front End Developers with extensive WordPress experience, it was important to find the right technical fit as well as someone who would excel in the well established company culture.

The SearchPlus service was a perfect fit for Chaptr – The Ripple team took over the time consuming process of searching, screening and selecting the most suitable candidates.
After fully understanding the requirement and working closely with Chaptr on the screening criteria, Ripple produced a short list of five candidates, each carefully selected and presented with their own 10 minute video interview.
After interviewing three of the five shortlisted candidates, a Front End Developer was hired on a remote basis (a first for Chaptr) and the recruitment fee was spread over 12 months, helping with cash flow and reducing potential risk.
